How to Make Your System Less Nervous: Strategies to Calm the Mind and Body
Many of us are disconnected and unaware of our bodily experience. We don’t notice tense muscles or rising shoulders. It often isn’t until we become ill or experience intense pain that we become aware of our bodies and even then, we’ve become experts at pushing through, ignoring the messages our bodies are trying to send. In this workshop, we’ll learn how stress and anxiety are encoded in our body and how the nervous system functions. Additionally, Renae will share practices to increase our body awareness and strategies to help calm the mind and body in times of stress, anxiety and overwhelm.
